Application Form: The manufacturer can apply for an FMCS license online on the BIS portal or the manufacturer can provide the hard copy of the documents offline at the FMCD department in Delhi. Validity of BIS FMCS for Automobile Accessories

Applicants whose standards are compliant with BIS standards i.e. quality, safety, reliability, and performance. Initially, the BIS FMCS certification license is valid for 2 years. Subsequently, the manufacturer has to pay for the renewal of the license fee. Successful payment of renewal of license leads to the issuance of renewed certificate. The renewed certificate is valid for a minimum of 1 year to a maximum of 5 years. If the certification is renewed after the expiry date of the initial certification, the manufacturer has to pay a late fee of Rs 5,000 to the BIS authorities as a compulsion.
