• The pharmacist must hold a B.Pharm or D.Pharm degree from a recognised university and must be registered with the Uttar Pradesh Pharmacy Council (UPPC).

• A No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the relevant local authority may be required in some districts
• The pharmacy premises must comply with local municipal regulations (Nagar Palika Parishad or Nagar Panchayat jurisdiction)
• In Noida and Greater Noida, premises must comply with NOIDA/GNIDA Authority land-use regulations
