After the application is applied the No Objection Certificate is issued and will remain viable for a period of 2 years from the date of issue. Regarding the renewal of this No Objection Certificate the application has to be made 90 days before the expiry of the existing one.
According to the new guidelines of the Central Ground Water Authority, obtaining NOC is compulsory if the industry or any operation is using more than 10 cubic meters of well water. Besides this, the applicant has to also create an IoT-based Groundwater Monitoring System, in case of no completion of this criterion, the industry will have to pay a fine of ₹2 Lakhs.
